4th of July

Our little family enjoyed a fun-filled 4th of July with friends and family. We started off our day with Mom running the 5k at 7am and instead of running to the finish line at Huntington Beach High School, I made a right turn at Lake Park and ran home so that Trevor could run the next 5k at 8am. We then took Trey to his first HB Parade and surprise it was Trevor's too! He has worked on the 4th every year. Trey had such a fun time during the parade watching all the people and hearing all the loud noises. It was so cute when the fire truck with the tiller man in the back came around the corner and his eyes lit up and he jumped from my lap and said..."oh oh oh.....da da"

After the parade, we went for a bike ride to our favorite deli on 17th street with our friends the Olmsteads. Trey loves playing with their kids, Molly and Jaxon......so much so, that we went for another bike ride with them to the firework show on the pier that night!

It was an amazing day with my boys :)

It's about time! Blogging is hard......

Aunt KK

Trey and his Aunt Kristen..........
Trey doesn't have a favorite Aunt(because he has too many and all are his favorite)......but for the closest Aunt (literally next door), Aunt Kristen has been his runaway buddy! When the front door opens, Trey is off and running down the pathway to Aunt Kristen's door. When she comes over to hang out(which is often), his mom and dad are not wanted. It is all about Aunt Kristen and her amazing "Crazy Kristen" fun!.....oh, and her baby phone app too! ;)

PROCRASTINATION IS THE INEVITABLE........
I thought that this would be easy to do regularly, but it seems as though that is not the case. You would think a "stay at home mom" would be able to get on the computer for at least 30 minutes a week to update a blog for family and friends, but I have a 1 year old that will not let me near the computer while he is around......(I am posting this at midnight!!!......shhhhh he is in bed ;) )

Trey turned 1 in May, and we had a birthday party at Central Park in HB. Trey's Aunt Tara made him an amazing cake with marshmellow fondant (yummy!)

In June, we drove up to Utah for Uncle Konrad & Michelle's wedding.
Driving up with Aunt Kristen was quite entertaining......She has a phone with a baby app where the baby will talk back, fart, dance, etc. Well, Trey loves this and he would not leave Aunt Kristen alone. I think she loved it all along! Trevor flew up on Father's Day and we snuck out to Chipotle after church for a Father's Day meal of his choice. ;)

Later that day, we had all the 10 K's (my brothers and sisters) together at Kari's house and my sister Kristen created this amazing video of pictures of all the men in our family. It was a very moving presentation and there was not a dry eye......at least on the ladies side. Trevor's speedo picture did however make a good laugh for everyone!

Rolling.....

My little man finally rolled over on September 19, 2010! While Trevor was working, Trey and I came home from church on a super HOT day and I laid Trey on his back on the ground. As I sat on the couch watching him on the ground playing with his feet (he discovered in recent weeks)......he started to move to his left and there he was face down with his arms stuck underneath him. I was the proud parent jumping and yelling, "good job buddie!" ....and it was but 30 seconds before he realized he was face down and uncomfortable with no hands that he started to cry for help! I turned him over and congratulated him on a good job, and there he was right back at it, grabbing his feet and turning over. Its funny because he is so big, he has to grab his feet and curl up like a rolly polly to turn over. Another milestone down.........

New at this blogging thing.......

Alright all you bloggers.......I have finally figured it out! Thanks to my lovely sister Kendra for starting our family blog and maintaining it as well. I have finally heard the last...."Do you ever update your blog?" and decided that in between feeding Trey, playing with him, and taking naps with him, I would work on updating our "Graves blog".
So........more to come soon!!!!! -Katie
